Considered by many to be the greatest tennis player, 18-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer teamed up with internationally famous footwear giant Nike to shoot a new advertisement titled “Nike – The Roger Effect”.

The commercial was shot in several locations in Badalona, Spain, including the court scene located at Palau Municipal d’Esports de Badalona.    This venue hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics basketball tournament and won the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture.

Federer is shown playing a competitive match in a sold out stadium.  As the match progresses, anticipation builds as Federer makes several unbelievable shots to win the match.  The crowd is mesmerized and inspired by Federer’s shot making ability, they eagerly funnel out of the tennis match after one last ace to practice the shots just witnessed.

SCANable provided 3D laser scanning service for both interior and exterior locations for camera tracking and CG crowd population sequences.
